Asbestos use results in two kinds of diseases: benign and malignant, or cancerous. Despite the fact that certain asbestos-related illnesses are mild and non-malignant, they can also be fatal.
According to the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), there is a proven correlation between asbestos contamination and four cancer types, as well as a potential link with three other tumor types.
